Houston Run for the Fallen
This Memorial Day weekend, United States Air Force Recruiting – Houston is asking you to “Run to Remember.”
If you are able, please join us and walk, jog, or run at least one mile to remember a fallen servicemember from the Houston area.
We’ve started to create a database of heroes from our area and we would like to honor them this weekend – but we need your help! Please sign up for our virtual run and we will provide information on the hero that you will be running to remember. All we ask is that you send us any photos, videos, or at the very least your running app’s screenshot of what you did for that service member and their family.
To sign up, please browse our Wall of Honor to select the service member you would like to run for.
Running with a U.S. Flag is totally optional, but we do ask that you try to find a flag (any size) right before, during or after your run to take a few moments to thank your hero for their sacrifice. A great way to do this is to read their name and rank (out loud or quietly to yourself), observe a moment of silence, and, if appropriate for you, salute. Thank you for taking the time to “run and remember” this weekend!
Hopefully, next year, we can get together and run as one.
For questions or to provide information on a service member that might be missing from our list, please contact us here. Please keep in mind that we are diligently working on adding service members.
If you would like us to add items such as pictures, letters or make any changes to their Bio please contact us.
